Workshops :: Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) - Skills Training Workshop

This 8-week program is currently under development by Dr. Kristin Neff (www.Self-Compassion.org) and myself. A randomized, controlled trial (spring 2011) demonstrated that the MSC program significantly increased self-compassion, compassion for others, mindfulness, and life satisfaction, as well as decreased depression, anxiety and stress. Improvements were linked to how much a person practiced mindfulness and self-compassion in their daily lives. This research is currently being submitted for publication.

The next MSC programs will also be research trials, particularly studying the effects on people suffering from anxiety and depression.
